The annual Australian Corporate Games event is held over the third weekend in November in Melbourne, where over 900 participants from 300 plus organisations partake in 20 various sports. With profits going towards the Epilepsy Foundation of Victoria, the event which builds team spirit, improves fitness and generates a sense of company pride, was once again a resounding success in 2010.
Since 2008, JDS Australia has been a passionate supporter of this event, and 2010 saw the JDS corporate games team grow to its biggest size to date, with 27 supreme athletes participating in the 5 and 10km runs and/or the Touch Rugby. 2010 was also the year that JDS truly flexed their sporting muscle with numerous personal best times and highly competitive finishing positions in the running events. Furthermore, like the unrelenting hail that fell two years prior, there was also a downpour of 14 stunning tries scored by the JDS Touch Rugby teams. Inevitably this led to the inaugural competition victory for JDS in the Touch Rugby; which was met with wild applause and celebrations from the legions of JDS supporters.
A huge congratulations to all those that participated and donated their Saturday to the event; it was a brilliant day filled with spectacular weather, sporting prowess and most importantly – fun!
Another stepping stone conquered in the JDS quest for world domination!
