JDS Wins Major Software Asset Management Contract

JDS Australia’s continued expansion into the IT Services Management space has gained momentum with the signing of a contract to supply the Queensland Department of Main Roads with a software license asset management system.

HP’s Asset Manager suite of products will be the backbone of the new system and the JDS ITSM technical team will provide the technical and process expertise to implement the system.

In September 2006, the Queensland Government Chief Information Office (QGCIO), Department of Public Works, released a new Information Standard to provide Queensland Government agencies with a set of consistent practices in managing software licensing.

Main Roads along with other Queensland Government agencies is required to demonstrate compliance with this standard and in February 2009 Main Roads decided on HP’s Asset Manager as the leading solution for a industry-leading, enterprise level software asset management solution.

With JDS Australia’s expansion into IT Service Management and IT Asset Management we can offer companies a comprehensive range of HP products and expertise for all your testing, monitoring, operations and service management needs.
